Playlist for 1/8/05 at the Saint, Asbury Park, NJ

I showed up around 8 PM to set up, and played some really awful celebrity recordings, lounge versions of rock hits, and just bad music, just to test things. I had my dual-tray CD and mixer, that I built into a box, with an MP3 portable CD player, and my laptop hooked to the other two channels. I had around a 90,000 song title base including everything.

Eric started Djing, playing a mix of 70’s glam-rock, some 80’s new wave, and punk. Joe Harvard performed a short set of 70’s glam covers.

I went on after Mystic-Underground, an NYC-based two-piece synth act, from around 12 midnight to 2:15 AM.

The club's owner, Scott, said that he'd like to have me back again, but there are some things that I feel really have to change to make the bar more dance-friendly. His only experience is with bands, so I understand his mindset.

No, I would not feasibly been able to sit my ass stagnant on a bar-stool during that set. Hopefully you find a venue that is "conducive" to dancing.

I know Mystic Underground! They're good peoples.

I don't know if it's been done before, but perhaps the DJs here would want to post some setlists just for the hell of it. I'll try and do my best to post tomorrows' here if anyone wants to check it out

Beautiful set STW. Many great songs rarely heard at the club these days. I would've been on top of the bar for Happy Hour!
