Yes, This Is For Real!!!!

Postby trekds947 » Sat Mar 31, 2007 2:52 pm

Hi all,

Among my many musical discoveries, I've stumbled upon some real convoluted realities. Among my latest:

Rick Springfield's covers of "Humam" (yes, the Human League original) and Dream Academy's "Life In A Northern Town".

Better yet, from Bonnie Raitt's live "Road Tested" comes "Burning Down The House"--not so convoluted; way too cool!!!!

So, what are your amazing covers discoveries?

I have a copy of Duncan Sheik covering The Smiths' Reel Around the Fountain. It's not bad at all.

Eric Clapton's cover of YMO's "Behind The Mask" is pretty solid.

I like Youth Group's cover of "Forever Young" quite a bit.

The Sisters of Mercy could have made a recording of each of them gargling and I'd love it [:D] I've never heard this cover--gonna go look for it...

<p align="justify">I think you peeps mean the band Love Spit Love[;)]

Best cover? Martin L. Gore's first counterfeit album. I once heard a godawful cover of Yazoo's "Only You" croaked by enrique uglyesias[}:)] I shit a brick and fell back on it when I heard that crap.

Are you guys sharing that Psych Furs cover of How Soon is Now? Um, if you don't want get beaten with a mod stick, you know you best float one my way [:p]

I also have the Meatmen, Everclear, Quicksand, Love Spit Love and the Snake River Conspiracy covering this song also. If you want one. Or all. Let me know. And you won't get the stick.
