Is Gnarles Barkley "Crazy" just a tad over-rated?

Their cover of "Gone Daddy Gone" is good, but sounds much like the original.

I think what you said makes total sense.

I just want to say that I didn't even know this song was "all the rage". I had no idea. I don't listen to the radio (not radio that plays current "hits", anyway), so I honestly didn't know. Although I had heard the name Gnarls Barkley. So perhaps, I'm just not sick of this song yet, right ? Anyway, I do quite like it. It's kind of different, IMHO.

I'm inCLINEd to agree with you there, Motors.

I didn't hear the song till around Thanksgiving, so I missed out on the overhype as well. I think it's a lot better than the other things that get played on the radio.

The video's pretty cool.

It's really not my normal choice of music, but it was just something about that dude's voice that I loved.

I bought the album right around Christmas sometime and played the hell out of it. There's a lot of variety in it and it has some good electronic sounds.

I happened to catch their performance on the Grammy's and it was awesome because the song had a military feel to it with the drum beat and it sort of drove the point further.

Good stuff.

I don't know what it is about that song. The lyrics. The guy's voice or the beat. But everytime I hear it I enjoy it. Despite the fact thatt it was too overplayed last summer. It beats the shit out of everything else in the pop charts these days. It's just too damn catchy.
