What may be rare to someone may not be rare to you, it's all in the matter of opinion and there is nothing wrong with that.

A great deal if you ask me, and shipping is free. I would pick up all 6 volumes if you can and that will give your collection and you will have a handful of goodies from the era that surely rocked

The tracks I listed are not rare, but they may be of interest to others. Most were accumulated from vinyl and ripped in the mid-to-late 90's before they became available on CD. If you are looking for rare items, list some for me and I'll check my files.

Welcome to the outpost. Looking at your list of songs, I am wondering if you were a WLIR listener. All of the songs you posted was on their playlist at one time or another.

I just wanted to clarify that we cannot post any music that is available for purchase. The Mi-Sex song is still in print and easily obtainable, http://www.amazon.com/Computer-Games-Sp ... 864&sr=1-1.

We are trying to stay out of any trouble with the RIAA. If you are not sure about the rules, please read the first post by Marvy Marv on the Obscure80's Central topic.

Yes, guilty-as-charged: a WLIR listener from around '81 to '86.

Sorry for exposing the NWOutpost to legal jeopardy. Like most of us, I'd happily plunk-down money for a legal copy of the single on i-Tunes (or similar service) in a quality format. I have no need for more stacks of plastic discs in my life. That's another tired discussion, though.

I'll steer clear of trawling for tracks from now on, and check the rules.

I know what you mean. I have many cds that I have bought for one song.

There are many WLIR listeners here. Myself included.
Feel free to request songs that are out of print. (or share one as well) We all try to help each other out here.

Just to follow up with an example-- six or so years ago, I really wanted the WLIR Halloween fave "Horror Movies" from the Bollock Brothers. The only legal copy at the time was available on a BB greatest hits import from Germany. It took nearly a month to get the CD and in the end, with currency exchange, postage and handling it cost me over $30.

And you can be pretty sure that the Brothers never saw bollocks from this transaction. This type of thing makes you consider sympathy with the music sharers (aka pirates).

Yes, me too. I bought a U2 cd for the song "Another Day" on ebay a few years ago. (before I found the outpost) It ended up costing me $45.00 when I was done sending the money overseas. U2 didn't see any of the money I paid for it.

Any hard to find WLIR song you are looking for I would be happy to help you. There is a WLIR song list floating around compiled by a famous WLIR DJ. You never know, he is known to post here once in a while.

Sorry Sally.. I was being a bit sarcy and smart-arsed [;)].. normally one gets punced for requestign track that are deemed quite prevelant... maybe because your username suggests female pursuasion, you may have better luck than some [;)]

I have several copies of computer games and other mi-sex tracks, so no need to post, Thankyou for the sharing state of mind though!

Welcome.. just remember as others have pointed out.. a track has to virutally be out of reachable circulation in either retail or on the net in order for it to be posted up.. just to avoid legal issues. A bummer I know.. but realistically it's what has to happen for this site to survive.

In the name of full disclosure, this isn't the first time I've been on NWOutpost. The last time was 7 or 8 years ago I think, but I've switched email accounts so many times since then that I couldn't figure out my old screen name or registration account. So I reregistered.

Back then, all of the online file swapping was in mad frenzy, and the RIAA hadn't yet begun its crack-down. After collecting the few hundred novelty tracks that I wanted from the 80's, I turned back to broadening my music interests in other interesting genres (jazz, rocksteady, dub, soukous, drone, ukelele). Only tripping across some of the 80's stuff on YouTube has gotten me back on a bit of a highschool crush for WLIR songs.

Not that it matters, but I'm a 37 year old married, suburban male (w/2 kids). The name "Sally Lightfoot" is the name of a common orange-colored crab found in the Pacific. I'm a bit of a crabby snob about music, so I thought I'd go with it.
