Mainframe - talk to me

Postby British » Thu Mar 29, 2007 12:34 am

After years of searching, I finally have a good rip of this song:

<a href="http://british.nerp.net/mp3/Mainframe%20-%20Talk%20To%20Me.mp3"> Mainframe - talk to me</a>

Enjoy.

[:)] Does it really end that way? What is that background talking? Good song though.

was this track from the 'tenants of the latticework' LP which was a concept album with instrumental music, spoken words and a couple of songs?
p.s. i wonder if polydor have unreleased stuff by them hidden away?

I checked the tracklist from Tenants of the Latticework, and "Talk to me" is indeed not on there. I would love to get that whole album though. There's only a few tracks I have from it. I think "talk to me" is the closest to hidden away music by them, and in my opinion, their best.

How come the track ends with someone talking in the background? Is that the official ending of the song or did someone record over the LP transfer?

That sound of a tone arm being lifted is in fact part of the song. The cryptic message at the end could be anybody's guess. I heard that on the Tenants of the Latticework album there was some sort of puzzle in the tracks.

As for what the computer programs on the other side contain, is anybody's guess.
