Well, now that Imus is out of the way, Sharpton/Jackson should stop with their bullshit excuses and put the same determined effort into exorcising the demon from the Hip Hop world. Or better still, just step aside and let somebody better able to represent the African American viewpoint come to the fore. Surely, these two aren't the best the black community has to offer.

You know almost literally every word of what you just said is exactly true of Jackson and Sharpton. I have no respect for these men and I never will, they are nothing but loudmouths who have a throng of idiots to follow them around and do their bidding, and I'm sure they both wallow in it. It's extremely unfortunate that virtually if not all of their "followers" are black.

Hey white/black, whatever...there are no innocents. The bullshit stream starts with the "artists". If they clean up their act, white corporate America, can't market it right?

Sharpton/Jackson (and other) tap dance around this matter. They should be organizing protests at record label head offices if these words are so life shattering, but I have yet to see any such protest. Imus has paid too high a price already for what was admittedly a stupid statement. Like I said before, Imus was an easy target, whereas if S/J organized a protest aimed at a rap artists label, they run the risk of alienating some of their support base. That's why it won't happen.
