I don't know if anyone other than myself & my friends ever heard this but "Guys are not Proud" by the Anemic Boyfriends" was utterly strange. Heard it on the radio once, bought the 45, have never forgotton it! I think the group was from Alaska...

I think "TV" by the Flying Lizards was much weirder than "Money (That's What I Want)" That went out as a single.

Other weird singles I recall: Eno's version of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." Although I think that was in the mid-70's.
