Virginia Tech campus killings

Postby ebbhead » Mon Apr 16, 2007 2:49 am

Associated Press reporting 33 (edit) killed and 29 (edit) more injured when a lone gunman opened fire at a dorm and in a classroom, then shot himself, in a separate building this morning on the campus of Virginia Tech. Absolutely tragic and awful.

Perhaps I should have posted this in the "Gun" thread. [:(!]

CNN is reporting 23 dead, including the gunman...the video coming out is chilling. There's gotta be 100 shots in it...none of them up in the air...

Looks like the gunman chose multiple locations...

shit

Damn, go to bed this morning after work then wake up to this. I wish these crazy bastards would just get to the end result and shoot themselves in the head and spare the innocents killed and their families all the grief. This shit is becoming all too common nowdays be it schools or disgruntled former employees returning to their work places. Sickening just sickening.

Heard this kind of news a lot before. Glad this never happened yet in the Philippines,

Maybe the schools should have more security and check those who are coming in.

I feel sorry for the victims and the victims families. [V]

I'm sorry, I've read every account of this horror and nowhere have I seen the type of person you so transparently allude to. I did think I saw something like:

"Corn growers son out of backwards midwest hick town with racist friends goes apeshit at largely minority college population."

I guess we must listen to different shows. We get other things besides 'Hanity and Colms' and Bill O'reilly here...sorry, did I forget 'Nappy headed' in there? My bad...

wait, God let this crazy person kill white people? Surely you jest...and trust me, I've read through 10 or so of your last posts and know exactly where you're coming from. I'll ask my God to forgive your hate next time I see her. And I've seen her twice in the last 2 months...just ask John Lennon...

Jeez, Waukena, how can I top that (especially accounting for the fact that you did INDEED see God 2x recently!!!). And you're so much more peaceful than I have the strength for.

Take care and I hope you're feeling better! (Your mind is certainly up to snuff!!) [;)]

My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father, prepare to die.

Tragic. This is so very sad.
Of course for the past few years in Iraq, this would just be business as usual...

Was there anything about black vs. white involved?

All i stated was being raised on violence begets violence and that God has been forced out of schools Which IMHO removes compassion if anything else, you came up with the rest. I listen to DEVO not Hannity. Get a narrower paintbrush, the one you're using is too wide.
Oh and welcome back Waukena[:D]

[/quote] Actually it seems being a loner and/or non-acceptence by your peer group has a bigger role in these violent outbursts than the reasons you cited.
