Blir asks:

"did ya see us, did ya see us?"

You know.....I think I _might_ have. Gabriele caught my attention before the movie started. Little did I know she was actually in the film. So, ya....because of where I was sitting(right hand side, facing screen, almost all the way in the back)I was kinda focused on what characters were in the section where you were seated.

Coincidentally it was an aquaintance of mine whom I haven't spoken to for quite some time that won the movie poster.

!!!!!!! Blir was sitting directly behind her!!! Candy-red hair!!! I was to Mr Blir's left, Mr Skinnytie was to his right! I was one of the people who tried, but flunked the video quiz (name the 4 videos that Klaus Nomi made). I later asked about the Marbles during the Q & A session.

Almost? What is the minimum for a quorum, Miss K? Do we get bonus points if I tell you that Mr Blir took Mr Skinnytie and I out to eat after the movie, and even was nice enough to drive me home?

I wish I had been there! I am about an hour and a half from LA where it is playing at the Nuart, but I will likely just see it on DVD. It would have been cool to be at the NYC screening, since there was so much audience participation and even a poster to win! It sounds like a great NWO night!

You're right, it totally qualifies. Did you guys know each other before that night? DID YOU TAKE ANY PICTURES???? Do not get together without a camera ever again!
[/quote]

I had met Blir and Skinnytie separately in the past (Urgh and record fair respectively). As for pictures, let's see...who is the photographer???hmmmmm
I think JustJohn was the only one wielding a camera, but we never met him.
Well be better prepared when we go to see Gang of Four. Kimiiii, you'll be in NYC that weekend, right[;)]

schwenko says:

"I later asked about the Marbles during the Q & A session."

Then I definitely saw you lot.

While I was taking a shot of that bathroom door Gabriele stepped into the downstairs lobby alone. I wanted to say a few things to her but I was suddenly more concerned that the view box on my digital camera was cracked rendering the device nearly useless. It must have happened during the movie somehow.

I'm _still_ thinking about the film. I'd like to see it again before it runs it's course at Cinema Village.

We were pretty cool looking weren't we? [:D] But getting through the red carpet was tough, with all those screams of "Who are you wearing?!" I thought I was cool yelling back "Hugo Boss!" Imagine my chagrine when Skinnytie and Scwhenko trump me with "Prada!" and "Armani Couture!" Damn them!!! [:D][:D][:D]

Ya. My friend waiting in line for me had to get all irate diva on the paparazzi when they kept pestering her as to who was responsible for the desinger chopticks that held her bundled hair together. Though no one inquired about my sleek all black ensemble. I suppose Lacroix is no longer all the rage.

Palm pictures has told me there will be a DVD release. Andrew Horn, the director, said multiple times at the NYC (Cinema Village)premiere that there would be bonus material on the DVD release.

I just got my Entertainment Weekly in the mail, The Nomi Song is reviewed in it this week (February 18th issue). They gave it an A-, it seems the reviewer really liked it.

I've read about a dozen reviews (NY Times, Village Voice, Daily News, etc, see my link above) and nary a one has been negative. I haven't seen it pop up yet on Rotten Tomatoes[:D]

The web site has been revised, and some more openings of the film have been posted (St Louis, Cleveland, San Francisco, Cambridge, MA); clips from the movie have also been posted on the VH-1 site!!!!
