A question for the ladies

Are the public and work restroom facilities for women as replusive as a lot of the men's rooms? You got guys who couldn't hit the bowl or the urnial if their lives depended on it, much less putting up the seats leaving urine on them. Many don't understand the concept of flushing after using. Also I don't understand the fascination with sitting there taking a crap while picking your nose and flicking boogers on the wall. Do women draw naked pictures of men on the stall walls like men do of women? Please tell me that the women aren't as disgusting as the men when it comes to bathroom behavior.

I'll say this, in the UK they toilets are often of a lower standard than they are in the States! Whe I have been over in America the ladies restrooms are very clean and nice, here they tend to be a bit less so althogu I have noticed more cleaners abotu of late so people msut feel the same as I do!Put it this way seeing meenstrual blood or faeces doesn't make a toilet usabel does it, there are some dirty bitches around here! The fact I suffer from OCD make spublic toilets hell for me as you can imagine, out it this way, I put toilet papaer ont he seat first I dont' trust the hygene at all and for good reason!

Enzfan, your theory was used in a lawsuit I read about.

A public employer, such as a university, had a floor with two bathrooms, one labeled "men" and one "women." Each of these was a single toilet without a stall--that is, you locked the door behind you. A male employee got fed up with waiting for the "men" room and sued under the state's equal rights amendment for access to the room labeled "women." He argued that although the the equal rights amendment permits some gender segregation for privacy (such as locker rooms), in this case it didn't matter, because two people wouldn't have to use the the restroom at the same time.

The university's defense was that it could not force women to involuntarily use the same facilities as men, even if at separate times, because men's bathroom habits are so disgusting! (I just tried doing a search to see what finally happened with the suit but didn't get the right results.)

To answer your question, women are much neater than men. Even bulimics get it in the bowl and flush.

I find that, typically, the only time the women's restroom is gross is if I'm in a bar or club. Then all bets are off.

yes, boys'/men's restrooms always seem dirtier. I've always wondered why ?
But as shovel just said, bets are off if it's a bar or club...often the women's restrooms are just as skanky.

Maybe because for men it's just a place to do our business, then quickly get out.

Best I can figure is that for women, it's a hallowed and sacred shrine where they congregate, bond and have private discussions about clandestine subjects that are too important to be spoken about anywhere else. The kinship formed in these linoleum sanctums is strong and profound.

When women return from this sanctuary there is often a palpable change in the air. You know something important has happened, honest ideas and true emotions were exchanged and validated. Women may enter as individuals but when they exit, it is as a team!

For all I know there could be elaborate rituals going on in there from sisterhood initiations to animal sacrifices!

Men have their Masonic Temples. Women have bathrooms.

I don't know- I've never been part of the "female bonding" phenom. For me, a bathroom is that most private of privates- let me do my business and get the hell out.

I have a theory about men's rooms though: I think men are dirtier because they are subconsciously defying their mother ("Did you wash your hands?" "Did you flush?"). LOL

Me, too. I used to have a co-worker who'd come into the bathroom, look under the stalls, find someone's shoes she could trace to the owner and then she'd strike up a conversation. It freaked me out. I couldn't pee fast enough so that I could escape her.

I've also never understood couples that openly use the bathroom in front of each other. I mean, it's a normal process, we all do it, blah, blah, blah. But still, I just do not need the image stuck in my head of the Mr. sitting there with his drawers around his ankles.

Agreed, I have no desire to be in the bathroom or anywhere near it while my wife is pinching one off, and I'm sure the feeling is mutual on her part.

I've seen people so OCD that they will literally wait at the bathroom door for someone ELSE To open it for them so they can get out- they are THAT freaked by germs.

I'm not that OCD. I just take the paper towel I used to turn off the sink faucet and use it to pull open the door [:D]
