your favorite 70's artists (non new wave)

I listend to kids' music and whatever my paretns and older brother liked but i have gotten into some '70s music since then! My favorite band form then is RUSH! i've only got into them the last few years but they are great, I love their '70s era! )My older brother went to see them on the 'Hemispheres' tour and gave me their program, hwo they have changed, my brother says there were these guys playing heavy metal dressed like women!LOL! [:D]I'm gonna see them later this year, can't wait! Neil Peart is one of my favorite drummers!RUSH are one prog band I can listen too (well I like Pink Floyd too but they are more chilled)I also love Led Zep and Sabbath is a given seeing as I like metal.

I'm skipping music and going right to the meat of new wave influence from the seventees. Breakfast Cereal... Boo Berry, King Vitamin, Quisp (even though I thought he was gay)and of course "kid" from cheerios and sugar bear from super sugar crisp. This takes the influence beyond the musical media and engulfed us with a complete vitamin fortified experience. Let's not even go there about direct bicycle influences from the 60's, my schwinn orange crate man...me and the bicycle we had it going on.

my parents were health food nazis and I remember the first time I was introduced to cereal that didn't taste like cardboard: Count Chocula and Fruity Pebbles. MMmmmmm. I think I ate both boxes in one sitting . . .
As for 70's music, for me it's:
Led Zeppelin
Queen
Cheaptrick (saw them in concert in 1990- they were still amazing!)
