The New Presidents (Robert Vaughn & Dane Conover)

Postby coop41 » Thu Apr 26, 2007 5:16 pm

Here is a 1983 EP from the San Diego band The New Presidents that I ripped called Stand For Change. It features Robert Vaughn(http://members.aol.com/altrecords/rv.htm)- Main Vocals and "Backwards" Guitar and Dane Conover (from The Puppies & Trees) -Producer, Synthesizer & Background Vocals. They had one song that appeared on the 1983 91X Rock To Riches LP (We All Fall Down) that I have posted before. Lots of Psychedelic Furs influence, maybe some early R.E.M. and lots of sax. Arabian Nights and We All Fall Down are the highlights in my opinion.
This was their only release. I left the $3.99 price tag from Tower on for posterity.
