MINISTRY Rarities and Mixes Collection

Postby tenohtwo » Sun Aug 05, 2007 3:29 pm

Here is my collection of rare, mostly-live Ministry songs from the 1980's, many of which never made it to the recording studio. Most of these are audience recordings, so the quality is what you'd expect for such old songs. I split them up into two parts, so the file sizes aren’t too outrageous. I'm also including the mixes I have of "Work For Love" and "I Wanted To Tell Her". Here are the track listings, along with notes of interest regarding certain songs:

Ministry Rarities Part 1:

Abortive (Live 1987) - pre-Rape and Honey version with Luc Van Acker on vocals (yes, lyrics!)
America (Live 7-10-82)
Do You Even Like It (Live 1984)
The Eyes Of Christ (Live 1986) - the music would eventually morph into "Apathy" by side project 1000 Homo DJs
Hizbollah (Live 1984) - Early version played on the Wax Trax Singles tour, 3 years before appearing on The Land of Rape and Honey
I See Red (Live 1984) - Patty J. on back-up vox
I'll Do Anything For You (Live 1984)
Love Change (Live)

Ministry Rarities Part 2:
http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f= ... 4167b40b46

Never Asked For Nothing (Live)
Overkill (Live 7-10-82)
Primental (Live 1982)
Revenge (Demo)
Same Old Madness (Live 7-10-82)
So So Life (Live)
Thrill Kill Kult (Live 1986) - the music would eventually morph into "The Idiot" by side project Lead Into Gold
Walk In The Park - With Sympathy outtake (instrumental)
What Is The Reason (Live 7-10-82)

I Wanted To Tell Her Mixes:
Wayne, I would post "Cold Life", but it is still in print on the "Early Trax" CD from RykoDisc.
Ahhh, but the one on Early Trax is the same edited version as on the old 12" Singles compilation. The version from the 12" is about a minute longer (repeating the verses, if I remember correctly).

No kidding? Guess I haven't listened to the vinyl version since Twelve Inch Singles came out on CD..19 years ago! Had no idea it was edited for the CD. Damn.
