I didn't mean to say that I didn't think it was. I just thought it was out of character coming from you. So I was wrong.

Again, I don't agree with calling anyone a "faggot" either and believe me when I say I'd be the first person to have your back if anyone ever tried to physically bash you in my presence. My support for gay people is well-documented, both here and IRL. But it's my opinion that nobody, regardless of who they are, should need to be protected from mere words.
