"oh well." you are right. "oh well." "oh well, people say shitty things to each other. oh well, shitty things are validated, and become acceptable, because nobody says anything. oh well, i'll just suck it up."

i wonder how many people through the years wish they'd not just said "oh well." how many people who just "sucked it up" until suddenly their culture permitted the ongoing harrassment of them, because nobody ever said "no. that's not acceptable." "oh well" is not being tolerant of anything. it's sticking your head in the fucking sand.

Frankly, I think you're the one lending validity to the word by stringing this out. Let it go. The asshole that made the comment is in all likelihood a troll anyway. I could see your objection if an actual board member made the comment, but consider the source.

I think all you Homo (sapien)s should stop being so niggardly about queer subjects.

oh, i don't know about that. but i think gay people back in 1986 had bigger fish to fry, like fighting the general belief that AIDS was a "gay disease." perhaps nobody of consequence to you cared though.

and so i'm not painted as a humorless prig, i think djcraig's post about this is the best yet!

I don't see people without fathers throwing fits if someone says the word "bastard". Just as men don't generally get defensive when someone stereotypes them, but oh if you were to ever say anything to a woman about "women" (I am one btw so you can't claim it is just because I don't understand these delicate matters). People need to quit being babies. It's just noises made with the mouth, or shapes your eyes see, that mean an opinion(def. what one thinks; belief not so strong as knowledge).
No offense - 'cause this is just words - but you're one stupid fucking cuntflap. Words exist in a context within a society.
First time I have seen the word cuntflap used in a post. Nice originality in use of a body part as a vulgarity. Would those be the Minora's or Majora's?

well jeez,
I also would not want to see a society headed toward a Big Brother-ish, thoughtcrime-fearing, Thought Police set up...but on the other hand, just because we have the freedom to say these types of inflammatory words, doesn't mean we should. Sure, maybe they're "just words", but consider that as functioning members of scoiety (well, most of us anyway), you are surrounded by other humans. You have a responsibility to police your own words.

Blir, sometimes I think I could fall in love with you. [:X]

In context to that last comment of yours I have to bring up another point: why is everyone assuming that "faggot" is being used in reference to gay men? As a cigarette rights activist it bothers me that cigarettes are never appreciated in the United States under their british name. Very shortsighted of you, Bruiser!

Such a shame. You're usually right about things.

BTW, I have no responsibility to anyone's "scoiety". Neither do you.
