B- Movie vs. The Comsat Angels

Or should I say "Independence Day" vs. "Remembrance Day". Both great bands. Somehow I was always focusing myself on the sound of CS Angels but liked B-Movie better. "Independence Day" was one of my first Post punk songs I relly liked, today though I like "Remembrance Day" more and listen to it more often.

Oh, I was on holidays and missed this poll. These two are among my favourite bands, and
though I really like TCA, I would have gone with B-Movie, no doubt.
IMHO, "Remembrance Day" is better than "Independence Day".

Like you Glock, I can't believe B-Movie has lost.

That is a tough decision...both bands had one amazing song that made me track down the rest of their catalog: "Remembrence Day" for B-Movie, and "Cutting Edge" for The Comsat Angels. Still two of my very favorite new wave songs.

BTW, as far as I know, neither of the versions that first caught my ear are available on cd. The Chasing Shadows cd by The Comsat Angels is long out of print, and I am not aware that the 12" b-side version of "Remembrence Day" was ever issued on cd in the first place. Of course, the early version is available on the Dead Good Years cd, and the later version is available on The Platinum Collection cd. I still prefer the version issued as the b-side to the "Nowhere Girl" 12" single in the US.
