Ah the '80s!!! Besides the coolest music; we also had the greatest movies!! AND the **most quotable** ones at that!!!!

So, what 80s movie mantras have you actually had the guts (or even nerve) to use in the real world.

"That's the fact, Jack!"- Stripes

"Bueller... Bueller... Bueller... "

and

"Sometimes you just gotta say, 'what the f***'"- Ferris Bueller

"Does Barry Manilow know you stole his wardrobe?"- Breakfast Club

"If someone asks if you're a god, you say YES!"- Ghostbusters

and of course, "Hey Bud, let's party"- Fast Times At Ridgemont High.

Haven't been able to use:

"if only you could see what I've seen with your eyes"- Blade Runner

yet but I'm waiting for the opportunity.

Everything that DJCraig said, except for the Ghostbusters quote.

"Doodie!" - Caddyshack
"Two dollars!" - Better Off Dead
"Nice manners, babe!" - 16 Candles
"If you're gonna float an air biscuit, let me know, OK?" - Weird Science
"Yes, it's true. This man has no dick." - Ghostbusters
"I'm your density." - Back to the Future

Plus Robert Carradine's laugh from "Revenge of the Nerds"

It's pretty dorky, but there's a couple of old high school friends who went to film school, with whom I've probably quoted that whole damn movie 100 times over in a variety of situations:

"Gosh, you've really got some nice toys here." - walking into their house.

"Christ Deckard, you look almost as bad as that skinjob you left out on the street" and "Wake up! Time to die." - good when drunk

"It's too bad she won't live...but then again, who does?" - when one picked up a chick (yes, Blade Runner geeks are capable of that).

"Nothing is worse than having an itch you can never scratch!" - um, when you have an itch.

"Memories! You're talking about memories." - er, whenever we're talking about memories.

I'd like to use "I want more life...fucker", but I'd really need to get divorced to use that one.

Other favs I've used:

"That's your whole goddamn raison d'etre, ain't it?" - Raising Arizona (good one for work - you get the occassional laugh of recognition)

"It's not the years honey, it's the mileage." - Raiders (good one for home use)

"Goddamn-dipshit-Rodriguez-gypsy-dildo-punks." - Repo Man (good for just muttering to myself)

"Pardon my French, but you're an asshole!" - Ferris Bueller (never seriously, just fucking around)

"That Barney Rubble...what an actor!" - Night Shift (while watching movies with aforementioned geeks)

"Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together...mass hysteria!" - Ghost Busters (in my rare exagerative moments)

I've used a ton of them from The Breakfast Club, especially "the world's an imperfect place" and "do you always carry this much shit in your bag?"

And from Valley Girl - "That techno-rock you guys listen to is gutless."

"Did you have a brain tumor for breakfast?"

"Spontaneity has its time and its place."

"Look at those people. I bet they think they're having fun."

"You keep-a usin' zat word. I do no' think it means what you think it means." I get to use this one at work all the time!

Don't forget "Fuck me gently with a chainsaw"

"Do you run- only when chased"

and of course, my personal (obscure) fave "ANGELS!" (Blir and KYYX, you know to which movie I am referring!)

"I'm subversive as hell!" ~Theodor Geisel
