These songs appear on every single radio retro flashback 80's show that has ever aired.

Wang Chung - Everybody Have Fun Tonight
Soft Cell - Tainted Love
Tommy Tutone - Jenny Don't Change Your Number
Toni Basil - Hey Mickey
Escape Club - Wild Wild West
UB400 - Red Red Wine
FYC - She Drives Me Crazy

Tune into your local Star 80's lunch hour thing today and it's guaranteed you'll hear one of these songs.

UGH. Why can't they play some Blow Monkeys, Go West, or Nik Kershaw.

I love this song dearly, but it is overplayed in the highest order!

"We Built This City"--Starship
"Pop Muzik"--M

And, needless to say, "I Melt With You" should be universally banned. It was "cool" for about...oh wait, it was never cool.

As much as I love Blondie, One Way or Another was never a favorite. Now that Swifter and Doritos got a hold of it - enough already!

I'm glad Deb's making money though!

Bizarre love triangle... that doesn't mean that I don't like it.
Love is a shield
Don't you want me?
Enjoy the silence

And here in Argentina almost any hit that Erasure had gets played a lot in all radios as if Erasure was the only band that existed in the 80's... not that I hate them, I pretty much liked them but I see it as something unfair the fact that some bands have good representation in radios and others like OMD and even New Order are almost inexistent with the exception of one song that gets played a lot.

That Dixie Midnight Runners Eileen crap.

What is funny is I don't recall EVER listening to it in the 80's but I do remember it from the 90's and beyond... and I've never liked it.

On the other hand, one song I never hear anymore on radio is Eurogliders' Heaven (Must Be There). It's an underrated track, me thinks.

Obviously, the "Dixie" Midnight Runner's was the southern mix. LOL.

You have no idea how often it was played here. It will stick to your head and hear it in your dreams. [:D]

Violent Femmes - Blister In The Sun. In fact, that whole first album I can't listen to as I lived in Wisconsin in the early 80's and it was played at literally every party I went to for 2 years.

I'd also add:
Culture Club - Karma Chameleon (though not particularly new wave)
Talking Heads - Once In A Lifetime
