Very cool. I still have an unused WLIR logo window sticker among my storage items. I saw a lot of great concerts at the Ritz back then.

Thanks for sharing Raserx. I remember that Dancing with myself solo dance contest at SPIT. Seems like a million years ago.

Man, that invite is cool. I must have chucked mine, but that "non-conformal ball" was one of the coolest nights of my life...

- Lou Reed opening for Hoodoo Gurus(!), debuting "Mistrial" songs.
- Spilled a 7&7 on Dee Dee Ramone's leather jacket lapel, tried to sop it up with a little square bar napkin.
- Laughed at the three short guys "dressed like" the Stray Cats before realizing they really WERE the Stray Cats.
- Spotted Debbie Harry, Joan Jett, Al Jourgensen by the bar.
- They did a balloon drop whrn the Hoodoo Gurus came on, and the popping blended in perfectly with the drumbeat of "Like Wow, Wipeout"

God, I miss those days!

At some point in the near future, I'll post some WLIR and some club stuff here (Malibu, Reds, Thrush, Be-Bop, Subway, etc) that I've managed to hold onto.
