Glok, you are The Man. Only you could shake things up in here Al Green style. Being a Mod afficiando myself I have to admit that a session without "You're The Best Thing" and "Long Hot Summer" is simply sacrilige. Here are the other essentials on my personal list:

"Each and Every One" - Everything But The Girl
"Waiting In Vain" - Bob Marley
"The Bed's Too Big Without You" - The Police
"Love Is Stronger than Pride" - Sade
"Tired Of Being Alone" - Al Green
"Round And Round" - Paul Weller
"Heroes" - David Bowie
"Appetite" - Prefab Sprout
"Slave To Love" - Bryan Ferry

Thank you...

And thanks to everyone so far for all the great suggestions!

I must add to my collection as some of these I do not have.

Enough material for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights! [:D]

Friday, Saturday and Sunday?
You should think about a post-weekend CD too, then.

I would consider starting with anything by Texas hardcore band "Really Red"

Glok, you have to dig up Tina Turner's cover of "Whole Lotta Love" from somewhere around 1974. Listen to that version once and you'll know that it has to be on any disc of this nature.

<br>Actually, my favorite Groove and Grind records are:

All She Wants - Duran Duran

I Feel You - Depeche Mode

Sweet Surprise - Chris and Cosey with The Eurhythmics

This City Never Sleeps - The Eurhythmics (Remember that scene from 9 1/2 Weeks?)

Bedrock - Foetus All Nude Review

Dirty Little Secrets - My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult

Cocaine Sex - Renegade Soundwave

Flesh For Fantasy - Billy Idol

The Rhythm Devine - Yello

Moving In Stereo - The Cars

Baby Doll - Soft Cell

Cream (As Mentioned Before) - Prince

Fascination Street - The Cure

The Pink Room (from Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me) -Angelo Badalamenti

I know these may not sound too romantic, but as a soundtrack to lovemaking, they really can set the pace.

this list made me horny!

and it's a good lesson to learn: just because the song itself may not be romantic in the slightest, the beat and drive of it can certainly lend itself to screwing (soft cell: "baby doll" being the best example).

Gotta agree with Jeffrey's list. Best one here so far. A lot of songs that might be about sex would actually be pretty laughable during sex.

Try The Cure's "More Than This", not the Roxy Music cover.

The The's "Kingdom of Rain" is pretty good too.

For something more jungly, I'd say Shreikback's "My Spine (Is The Bassline)".

Some of the French "Cold Wave" is pretty good too like Opera de Nuit's "Ami Amant".

The Essence's "Out of Grace" is kinda dreamy but dark too. My Bloody Valentine's "Sometimes" fits a similar mold.

You might be hard-pressed (heh) to keep up with the pace of "Pound" by Human Sexual Response.

Then there's the classic Wall of Voodoo "Ring of Fire" which was actually used in a porno. It was during a lesbian daisey-chain if I remember correctly...you should try to get yourself into one of those if you can Glok.

^^ I sort of agree. I mean, if music just happens to be on, that's fine. I'm not going to be listening, anyway [}:)]

I prefer a more, uh, natural soundtrack.

Bruiser and Blir,

Thanks for the compliments!! I've always been desirous of the perfect "erotic metronome" in music to express the lust, and rhythmic expression of coitus and other sexual activities. And, like some others have pointed out, sometimes the best "soundtrack" for sex is the one we create with our own breaths, heartbeats and bodily mechanics caused by friction, lubrication and the little sucking sounds of penetrating body parts that fill a room with the perfect ambiance.

But music does create the perfect atmosphere. From background to foreground, sound can definitely enhance mood. Use it creatively and you and your partner(s) will have no regrets. I like to have my partner sometimes wear headphones while I perform cunnilingus on her. Like Blondie, I "Eat To The Beat" and it turns out to enhance climax.
