What's next? Giuliani jesting: "Where's the twin towers? Nope ... not over here. Hmmmm ... not over there either."

His recent behavior of answering his cell phone during the speech at the NRA is enough to make you wonder if this guy's got his priorities straight.

Abe Sofaer, by the way, is a lawyer power-broker and part of the pro-Likud Israel circle. In other words, a total hawk neo-con. He wrote an academic framework for legitimizing pre-emptive war. He's now at the right-wing Hoover think-tank.

If you like George W. Bush, you're probably agog at the prospect of a Guiliani presidency. A Guiliani regime might actually surpass the authoritarianism of the current administration.

And strangely, he represented Libya in the Pan Am 103 case. I'm shocked they lost.

My spouse lost a best friend in that terrorist bombing.

Disclaimer: I worked at Sofaer's law firm while he was there. I didn't work for him or even meet him. A hair's breadth of a degree of separation with this ass-pimple politico and historical footnote.
