"Falling Down"-New Duran Duran

Postby djcraig » Tue Sep 25, 2007 11:42 pm

The new DD single is out on iTunes. Upon first listen, it's not horrible. "Falling Down", if unchallenging, is catchy enough- heavy on keyboards and without a hint of Timberlake to be heard.

I think it's a universal code that works with most browsers...

embed src="http://www.djcraig.net/Falling Downmp3.mp3" height="60" width="145" autostart="false" loop="false" width="0" height="0">/embed>

I removed the brackets "<" from "embed" at the beginning of the code and "/embed>" at the end, so you could see it.

I like it, too. It's like comfort food for a D2 fan. I like the lazy beat, very mellow.

I was already wondering if there is any hit potential in this song. It reminds me of the mellow sound of the songs "The Chauffeur" and "Save A Prayer". There is a dld link on my blog.

Honestly, I think anything they do will go the route "Astronaut" did: The remaining fans will buy it and love it and the rest of the world will largely ignore it. I think their days of topping the charts are long over, unfortunately. It's not because they suck--the tides have turned and what they do and who they are works against them. I hope I'm wrong.

Doesn't this fall into the "readily available for D/L" category as well? Im confused. Whether it's track by track or in complete form, this is still a no no, and I do not see a difference in this as opposed to someone else posting a complete(full) album?

[/quote]I believe the key difference is that the media content in case is being STREAMED via a player rather than actually posted in a downloadable format. I suppose you could find a way around that too.[|)]
