President of Ecuador: Bush = Retard

Postby SallyLightfoot » Fri Sep 28, 2007 10:31 am

Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa called Bush's recent speech at the UN "retarded."

That comment is sure to cost Ecuador some development aid from big daddy. [:0]

"I did not go to the dinner. I was going to go, but I suspended (my attendance) in protest against the barbarities in his speech. He does not have the right to have given such a base, retarded speech nowadays in the 21st century.”

- Correa

Speaking of the 21st century, I cannot believe that PC culture hasn't spread to our South American friends. My mother-in-law lives next door to a retarded young man [:(]

Good source material, counselor. You must work for a first class law firm. Not even Ricky Gervais' Office, LOL.....

P.S. - Bush and Correa are friends?

Reaction to the same speech in Europe:

"Bush's proposal to expand nuclear energy to fight climate change and his statement that carbon dioxide emissions would be much higher today if it weren't for the 439 nuclear power plants worldwide was sharply criticised by [German Environment Minister Sigmar Gabriel].

'I don't it's particularly clever to give the world the message: build new nuclear plants," Gabriel said. 'First you urge people to expand nuclear energy and then you send in NATO to bomb the nuclear power plants because they did the wrong thing -- that isn't particularly intelligent politics.'"

The article is sourced in the German press. I'd bet on sloppy translation & proofing. I doubt the German Minister left out a word (or butchered one, as Bush did with "childrens") in his native language.

If, on the other hand, the German Minister was speaking to the press in English, I think we can cut him some slack. In this case, you'd have to be an idiot to fault him for less-than-perfect English.

This from an admitted close friend of Hugo Chavez, orator supreme. Based on what (admittedly little) I've read about Correa, he's more suited to running a KFC than a country, even if that country is as inconsequential as Ecuador.

I suppose I could dig deeper, but why would I? The guy seems to be modeling himself as a Chavezian clone.

Does anyone know who killed Mandella? Are there any leads?

We should get the Boulder Colorado police's crack investigation squad right on this!

seriously, the rest of the world is not looking at Bush very favorably. His speaking gaffes do not help. There is a difference between the random, infrequent speech mistake that some make and the type that frequently comes out of this pres' mouth. OK, he's pretty much just a gaffe himself.

And the Dems couldn't find a way to beat this Retard in the last election... what does that say about them?

How inept are you if you can't come up with a candidate and strategy to outwit and outperform a Retard?

Only because the Dems couldn't find a way to fit Jesus into their campaign (he was previously engaged with another party).

Between Gore and Kerry the Dems have put two boring personality lacking candidates out there in a row. Give Kerry credit for at least carrying his own home state, something Al couldn't that cost him the election.
