<br>.38 Special...LOL! Wow, some of the shit that gets posted here...
No kiddin'. 38 Special ! Give me a break. Now, what was it we were talking about before this ? oh yeah... Cass Elliot. Sure , she was a bit on the heavy side but where would the Mama's and the Papa's be without her great vocals.
I never cared for the Mama's & Papa's until Vince Clarke produced their new wave album in the seventies. Elliott's quirky, Devo-like vocals showed amazing range.

LOL!
I undersatnd the "gray" area for some bands, like Robert Palmer. But .38 Special?. These guys were about as far from New Wave as it gets.

Hang in there, at this rate it'll be posted by the end of the week. Ethel Merman...disco; smacks of 80s New Wave to me.

*edit*...OK, here is Everything's Coming Up Roses because it can't be worse than .38 Special. Soulseek never ceases to amaze.

As long as everyone is feeling so generous, any chance of someone uploading Johnny Mathis' synchpop album? His cover of 'Just Can't Get Enough' is to die for.

Thanks in advance.

If, metaphorically there was a hill in 'cyber-space', this thread would be helping this site, go down it.

Holy Shite!!!...7 d/ls of the Merman song. I would have bet there wouldn't be a single one. You guys really want the full effect of the lp don't you?

The beginning of this one missed it's calling as the theme music to a seventies police show.

Man, I remember when that came out. Even with my high tolerance for crap & being a huge disco fan, it was an embarassment.

Strangely enough - it was re-released a few years ago on cd, because it was such a huge collectors item.
