The F-cking Squirrels are back!

I give them peanuts and other nuts and that occupies and distracts them from eating my fruits and vegetables.

I tried that and they just got all their friends to come over and they buried the nuts.....in my lawn!I give up on the front yard. Next year I will get rid of the grass and do an ornamental thing.

Ornamental as in pave over? As long as they can dig, they're going to bury things in your yard - grass or not.

As I said above...pave it over. Or feed them so many peanuts they get fat and sluggish, then blast them out of the trees with a high pressure hose. Much fun to be had with that little pastime, well fed or not.

I have trouble applying ethical treatment at NWO...it should come as no great surprise that a bunch of fluffy rats would get an occasional 1600 psi. life lesson.

I'm thinking of getting rid of the grass and using stones and plants. It just looks horrible when they take apart the grass and leave huge holes.
And BTW, I already used the hose! This one was sitting on my fence right next to me so I blasted him in the face with the water. He was back in minutes. I'm thinking of dressing in a squirrel costume and just beating the hell out of them when they come to say hi.

Philly, I'm not sure if you have tried this but it seems to work at my house. Get a dog that barks at everything, squirrels run like hell. My landlord's dog is one of those small yap type dogs, it barks like mad if something is in the yard, stray cats and squirrels don't have a chance!
