My boss is a dick

Postby zill » Fri Oct 05, 2007 1:02 am

About a year ago my desk was piled with papers and my boss came in and lectured me that my messy desk signified I didn't know how to manage my time or my workload and didn't know how to delegate.

I filed everything in boxes and drawers and ever since I've operated with a clean desk. I didn't do anything different other than file some papers away, but in his mind I suddenly became the model employee of time and people management! Duh!

That was great until yesterday when he came in and looked at my clean desk and said "geez, it looks like you don't have anything to do, well I can fix that". Fuck me!

Sorry to hear that, zill.
Have you considered punching him in the face in front of his family?

You need to ascend the corporate ladder and take his job out from under him.

Then give him a box of pencils for a Christmas bonus. (That's what my dad once did to a "dick" boss. We still get a laugh out of it to this day...)

Shame on you Philly. Violence has never been the answer to one's problems. Zill should attempt to open a heartfelt and meaningful dialog with his superior in order to resolve the apparent inconsistencies in his statements.

I dunno... I actually did that pencil stabbing thing once and it really helped!

(I still have the pencil, too.)

I know exactly how you feel. I have a supervisor that strolls into my store once every six weeks and has to drop bombs on me like that. Here's a video for you, sort of decribes how we all feel when something like that happens.
