Something "interesting" about Duran Duran

I read something "interesting" abt DD & thought of sharing it with u guys. Whether to take it seriously or not, its up to each individual[:D] enjoy reading...

"A poster in Youtube claims that Duran are "in league" with the 911 terrorists or DD are satanists.

He claims that Duran are part of an ancient order that plans the events of the world, and there are signs in their music and videos pointing to it. Even their names.

Here are some of his posts:

"Duran Duran are partners in crime with those who perpetrated the 911 massacre.
They are members of Knights of Malta.
Nick Bates took#65279; the name Rhodes because the knights lived there for 200 years and
[b]nigel Taylor took John because knights of Malta was first called Order of St John the baptist.
The guy who built WTC is also a Knights of malta member. Remember where you heard it first".

About Roger's pose: he means the Planet Earth video again. In the opening scene, Roger is looking up at the Earth. He is huge, BIGGER THAN THE EARTH-like a God. But he's not looking DOWN ( from heaven) at the Earth. He's looking UP (from HELL?) at the Earth.

Simon says "you're looking at Planet Earth". Who? Who's looking? And who would be looking at Earth FROM BENEATH THE EARTH? Who would be big enough, powerful enough-to see all of the Earth-and everyone on it-at ONCE?

Why Lucifer the morning Star himself! It's SO CLEAR! lol.

The Union Of the Snake was thought by CERTAIN ( not all) Mormons in the 80's to be about Satan. "On the climb"-it was saying that the devil is on the climb, getting more souls, spreading da evil on thick. LOL. One of the reasons I'm not really a Mormon anymore, paranoid bastards.

Pat Boone described Duran as "satanic".

This is old news, been going around for years that Duran are "evil". Even the androdgynous look, men in makeup...it's supposed to be a "corruption" of God's plan and "his" roles for men and women.

The Arcadia name has some conspiracy theories to it though:

ORIGINS-"The phrase is a memento mori, usually interpreted as "I am also in Arcadia" or "I am even in Arcadia", as if spoken by personified Death. However, Poussin's biographer, André Félibien, interpreted it to mean that "the person buried in this tomb has lived in Arcadia"; in other words, that the person too once enjoyed the pleasures of life on earth. This reading was common in the 18th and 19th century".

It's "Death" speaking. Or, a voice from the Dead, a spirit, a ghost, a wraith, whatever. You're not supposed to converse with the dead, or seek to. (for Christians) That could be construed as "demonic". If you ever hear one, RUN. Or see a psychiatrist.

"The more famous second version of the subject, measuring 122 by 85 centimetres (72.8 x 47.6 in), is in the Louvre, Paris, and also goes under the name "Les bergers d'Arcadie" ("The Arcadian Shepherds"). It has been highly influential in the history of art and more recently has been associated with the pseudohistory of the Priory of Sion popularised in the books Holy Blood, Holy Grail and The Da Vinci Code."

It has connections to the "sacred feminine" and the rose line theories that say Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had a child, the "Holy Grail". Arcadia also have a song called "Rose Arcana". COINCIDENCE? lol.

"The Flame" seems to describe some kind of occult ritual in one part.

You draw a circle on the floor with a pentagram in the center. Supposedly you can conjure up voices "from beyond". Whatever. Could those voices be the "Personified Death" that the Latin phrase is talking about?

To a Christian these ideas are heretical and accordingly, "of the devil". It is weird that Duran chose this painting, with it's mystical content that comes with it. More:

"While the phrase "et in Arcadia ego" is a nominal phrase with no finite verb, it is a perfectly acceptable construction in Latin. Pseudohistorians unaware of that aspect of Latin grammar have concluded that the sentence is incomplete, missing a verb, and have speculated that it represents some esoteric message concealed in a (possibly anagrammatic) code. In The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, Baigent, Leigh, and Lincoln, under the false impression that "et in Arcadia ego" was not a proper Latin sentence, proposed that it is an anagram for I! They claimed that Poussin was privy to this secret and that he depicted an actual location."

Interesting. Nick himself said on the making of Arcadia videos he liked the name due to it's "mystical content". So they were AWARE that all is not as it seems on first glance. The whole album seems to be an anagram, a code to figure out.

If this phrase and painting is implying that it's the hidden tomb of Jesus and contains his remains, then he never rose and is still buried there. That would (if true) blow away all Christian concepts of divinity. So obviously, choosing this phrase as a name for your band is gonna stir some religious people's pots.

Conspiracy theorists love this shit- it gives them ammunition to speculate wildly.

If Jesus actually rose and lives, then this idea he's still buried in a tomb and married and had children and this painting is telling you that-it's blasphemous. And where does all blasphemy stem from? That's right, TIMBALAND! lol No, THE DEVIL!

So it's not as simple as "oh they got it from a painting". Yes a painting-but a painting with tons of history and speculation about it's "hidden", potentially satanic-meaning."
