Thick Pigeon

Anyone remembers Stanton Mirands's band Thick Pigeon. They recorded an interesting album in 1983 "Too Crazy Cowboys". It really got a bad rating at Pitchfork's. I was always wondering why they picked the name Thick Pigeon. It wasn't quiet the name tha showed much potential for success.

Recently I found this Ian Curtis tribute video on Youtube. It is a brilliant cover of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Stanton Miranda done in the mid 90's. It features Ian's picture set and outtakes from Stanton's video.

I came very, very, very close to dying in a car wreck while listening to Wheels Over Indian Trails.

If you know the song, you know the refrain is: "Roadside crash, roadside crash, roadside crash".

Spooky.
