You know what? I like you. You bring up a lot of good points but unfortunately in the world we live in today, it won't happen. Think about this, a leader from a super power speaking like a person not a politician and saying there will be a meeting of all leaders ...be there. Then spelling it out clearly this is what we do. But it won't happen. In my dreamworld, I would meet with each country and spell out what needs to be done. But in our world you must have a huge military for anyone to listen to you. Speak softly but carry a big stick.It sucks. In my really great dreamworld I rule everything. And I tell you what you will do in order for there to be peace. And you better listen.

heck yah, we people have had enough of this war. It is funny, however, to see Putin rumbling. has anyone followed this guy ? His centralizing of power, reviving state-run industries, classifying secrets, and even more alarming dictats are worrisome. There are many who compare him to old-style Soviet dictators. All this aside, he had recently met with other Caspian Sea powers and got plenty of photo ops with Iran's Ahmedinejad, where he stated his feelings about this stupid Iraq war. Sounds like he's trying to drive a deeper wedge between us. Sure, lots of us think this war is silly. But now that Putin's brought it up, it puts new wrinkles in this issue.
Gah, I'm just babbling. I am soooo sick of this; I wish I could do more than show bumperstickers, send letters to my Senators, and vent on a forum. [:(!][V]
