Just got back from the casino and was playing Star Wars slots. Should have seen if I could pass this off as legal tender.

Oh, swell. Blame Bush for all the fallout from Clinton's poorly run administration.

I don't blame Bush for any of his actions. Why should he start taking responsibility this late in his life? He's been simply fabulous .

Are we still talking about the inflated economy he inherited from the Clinton years?

I thought he inherited a surplus.

Maybe the next president will do much better with the 9 trillion dollar plus deficit he or she will inherit.

I found this article, although from a left-of-center rag:
http://www.commondreams.org/views04/1022-26.htm

A run down of how Clinton made a surplus, and how Bush spent/blew through it his first year...

Marie, are you making excuses for the next administration already? [;)]
On another note, here's an interesting article I found with informative charts comparing Clinton and Bush's economies:

http://engram-backtalk.blogspot.com/200 ... onomy.html

When I see things like that, I hope it's understandable why it's hard for me to formulate an impassioned opinion one way or the other.

Great article, thanks Marv--I was looking for something more along these lines than the link I posted...[:)]

I was waiting for your link Marv. [;)]
I don't know who the "professor" for a research university is. But he forgot to mention how our country's spending is from debt. Nice charts though. I like Blirs better.

I didn't mean to go off topic, when I saw the title, the thought that first came to mind was an article I just read that talked about how across the nation, Americans are increasingly unable to stretch their dollars to the next payday as they juggle higher rent, food and energy bills. It's starting to affect middle-income working families as well as the poor. People making $80,000 a year a struggling. I know things money has gotten tight for my family over the past few years.

But I like the Darth Vader money! [:D]

True or not, I guess you could go after whoever delivers the message. In that case, all of our opinions are pretty worthless. But anyway, yeah, the debt sucks. I wonder how it would have been had 9/11 not happened?

Sorry...Darth Vader money. I hate to further politicize a benevolently designed thread. Has anyone else opened that thing up in Photoshop just to look at the detail that was put into it?
