Verizon to sell your cell phone info to marketers

This is wrong.

Verizon is going to sell your cell phone info (CPNI = customer proprietary network information) to third parties for the purposes of being able to advertise on your cell phone.

I already get too many calls from people I don't know (as well as people I do know), but I draw the line at advertising.

Verizon subsribers - there is an opt-out number in the article.

Thank you, Tiger. I did not know this and of course I use Verizon. Just what I need is telemarketing calls on my cell! I just opted out.

All I can say is, if ATT would have put half the effort to KEEP me as a customer as they are trying to get me back, I would still be their customer. They call once or twice every day.
