I called Western Digital about it and they said that it was impossible for the "Notebook" (500GB external HD) to have a virus on it because they come completely empty. Funny, mine came with a bunch of preinstalled Google stuff.
Norton missed it but after I installed Computer Associates, it was gone....and speaking of Norton, what a load of garbage. After having it for a couple of months I kept getting pop up messages (daily) about how I have to verify that the product was valid. I bought it at Best Buy so I hope it was a valid Norton Product.

Getting my Seagate rebates was a pain in the ass. Borat told me the rebate department was outsourced to some gypsies.
