Third in line to the Presidency

Postby enzfan » Thu Nov 08, 2007 10:26 am

With Michael Richards, Don Imus, and Dog The Bounty Hunter in the news recently for racial slurs, does anyone realize that Senator Robert Byrd from West Virginia is third in line for the Presidency behind Cheney and Pelosi. This is the same man who joined the Klan back in the early 40's and rose to leadership positions. He didn't completely sever ties with the Klan until he ran for political office in 1952. Along the way in his political career he has voted against the Civil Rights Act Of 1964, Voting Rights Act Of 1965, he is the only Senator ever to have voted against confirmation of the only two black Supreme Court justices Marshall and Thomas, plus he opposed the nomination of Condoleezza Rice. As recently as 2001 he used the word nigger in a speech. If Barack Obama gets elected he may have a heart attack and die.

Actually, out of Bush, Cheney, Pelosi and Byrd? Byrd would be our best option by far. I wouldn't worry.
