Here's the link to three singles from White & Torch. Heartbeat in my opinion is way superior to these songs. I guess why it remained so obscure is the fact that the lable made it a b-side and it went totally unnoticed. I remember I heard the song on a short wave radio in 1983 (if you still remember what a SW radio is) and fell in love with it. A friend of mine in UK send me the single. The A side was Miracle and Heartbeat was inexplicably the b-side. oh by the way some credit goes to glokstadt who took the time to re-load this for me to listen to!

I like the song Parade a lot.

Oh yeah, I forgot. They also recorded Heartbeat for the Peel Sessions back in 1984!

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST! I even have a record from this band!! "Let's Forget." Title says it all. Don't like it and never would have made the connection.

Guess it's true some things really are under your nose. Well, all the same, I'm happy it was a major label release and not some private D.I.Y. thing with a >500 print run. At least now everybody who wants it can probably get it.

<br>Hi guys. I had a chance to listen to this mystery song (finally). it's "Heartbeat" by White & Torch. See the below link for some info on them. I do have the song in one of my collections. When I find it, I will post it for you.
What was the spark that made you think it was White & Torch? Were you just going through your record collection and remembered, or had a hunch? I am so grateful that this song has finally been recognized, thank you so much.

I knew it was too good to be true!

I just received this email from Roy White of White and Torch.

Hi Kieth,
Got a message from Dan with a link to Youtube. The song you're talking about 'Second Time Around' is not White and Torch.
The band sound sort of familiar but I couldn't say for sure.

When I first contacted him, I sent the link to the youtube page and asked him if it was White and Torch. I'm guessing there was a misunderstanding and he didn't listen to it, but thought I was asking him if HE was from White and Torch. I guess?

So what was that about needing something to do?

Hi Dan,

I checked out the song you posted on Youtube and it most certainly is NOT White and Torch. I've not heard this particular song before.

Heartbeat was the B side to Miracle (White and Torch)

Sorry.

Cheers,
Roy

Is it really true - is this your band and song from 1983? I hope so. So many people have been trying to solve the mystery of the song for over 4 years on NWO http://www.nwoutpost.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=324

I posted up the clip of "Stay (The Second Time Around)" on Youtube hoping someone would recognize the song.

Hi Dan, yes I was in White and Torch but this isn't us :( I found our track Parade on there when I did a quick search on youtube.

Didn't find that anything last time I looked but hopefully more people have our stuff somewhere. I have no videos or radio recordings of us sadly!

Who has contacted me in this place I'm in with this pejorative pretense that has so often hurt us all in the past?? Is it the Republicans...again???

It can't be real, it must be another deception from False Promise, (the Conservative Republican club in Hell, the one right across PileofShit St. from 'President Guiliani's Skanktank')...

I can hardly see it from this place I'm in...it's dark here...there's so many of us here in this Punk Purgatory...(it's the hottest club in Purgatory right now)...

but wait...what is that coming into focus?

I can see it...I CAN SEEEEEE IT!!!!!

It's really here...it's really true...(it's tuhwooooooo!!!!)

I'm at peace now...now I can go into The Light...there's peace in The Light...(the after hours club)...

Carol Ann, Carol Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...(cute waitress who lets us in free)...

(I'll tell Joe Strummer you all said hello, we're having tea with Stiv Bators tomorrow)...
(and awesome job Danielwaver)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(now the screen gets all wavy and you go back to watching the local traffic report)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
11.13...oh GREAT, I got sent page 7 and thought this was my happy ending, (not to be confused with Earthly Happy Endings, which are better but cost $20)...and then I see PAGE EIGHT...I gotta get a better earthly news agency...shit...that's all...shit...ok, out to breakfast with Joey and Dee Dee...
