Part of me still believes the song was named already in this thread. The "Swimming Pool" song by Phil Carmen was named a year and a half before it was "re-found".

If positive ids can be wrong then negative ids (especially coming from record dealers who may not have the time to stop and listen, despite a potential sale) can also be wrong.

Has anyone here actually heard the Modern Romance song, or was that ruled out by an outsider?

Maybe one of these will be confirmed the second time around...get it?

I'll be here all week folks!

I would agree with you totally if not for the fact that Roy White himself has confirmed to three of us that it isn't.

What exactly just happened? I feel like I was hit by a car.

Was Danielwaver confused? Does he really have the song but has just misidentified it? Where is he?

Let me try.

Most likely Daniel misidentified the song as Heartbeat by White and Torch.

I contacted a member of the band and sent him the you tube link asking him to confirm.

He must not have understood what I was asking and confirmed, perhaps confirming that he was in White and Torch, not that Stay...is a White and Torch song.

I took to throwing gasoline on Daniel's fire and announced that it was confirmed, even relaying stories about the recording of the song, as if I was a regular Matt Pinfield type big shot.

Dan, wisely, contacted aforementioned band member once more to make sure.

Band member emailed Dan and I and told us, it isn't the song after all.

Daniel hasn't been back yet, but I'm thinking the fact that he has heard the song is a start...or a start over!

Oh, and apparently Waukena was driven insane by the whole thing!

Speaking of Matt Pinfield, maybe he knows the song. I think I once read that he knows everything.

wow! I was just checking my e-mail and read the e-mail Panorama sent me! Ok now after reading all these new comments I must say I still do believe it's White & Torch, not 100 positive but 80%! as I trust the guy who has given the information is in fact Roy White. But now just compare the vocals on the three songs from White & Torch I posted and tell me what you think. IT IS THE SAME SINGER 100% positive. The Thing is as soon as I heard the mystery song, I knew it was White & Torch. Now what I am thinking is that was I misled because of the vocals being so much like White & Torch? But now I am unable to find the song in my archive. Could it be a differenst band? what I am thinking is that I do in fact have the song somewhere, and I will keep looking. But I will wait for water7 to get his order and then we will reach a verdict! After all sounds like it's getting more thrilling! [:D]

Again, the fact that you've heard the song is a start. That in itself is more progress than we've had. If it is in fact the band and two of them said it wasn't, then, well actually, thats about how I'd expect this whole thing to end, considering how crazy it has been.
