I have a bunch of the new beat comps that came out in the late 80's early 90's. I still listen to the comps and love Lords Of Acid.

I have one New Beat comp, "New Beat: A New Style Of Music." It's not bad, but I don't think it stood a chance next to the eurodance that was being pumped out around the same time (2 Unlimited, Utah Saints, etc.). Early 90s techno-dance totally killed it

Razormaid! brought over a *lot* of New Beat back in the day, probably 3/4 of the artists I know in the genre were bands I first heard on the Razormaid "letter" series.
Don't forget the First New Beat Track Ever: Yello's "Bostich" 45 spun at 33 1/3 rpm.
