Who should play in the BCS Championship?

Postby Frau_Blucher » Sun Dec 02, 2007 1:57 am

The college tackle football championship that is. After the ridiculousness of both WV and Mizzou losing, we're left with Ohio State (BORING!) and one other randomly selected schmuck to play in the "title" game. Who should it be?

I really want to say Hawaii since nobody has beaten them, but they wouldn't stand a chance. I'll go with LSU.

Georgia was playing as well as anyone at seasons end. If they had made the SEC championship game they would have taken care of LSU.

Wow, that's a pretty big IF.
They were one of the more decent teams.
This whole thing is an absolute joke.
Do you know how exciting and wide open a playoff would have been this season?
LSU loses to two UNRANKED teams and is playing in the Title game!
RIDICULOUS

USC, Georgia, Oklahoma are all playing well now, Hawaii would have no chance.Had Oregon not lost Dixon they would most likely be playing in the title game.
Heck, ASU lost two games, Oregon (top 5 at the time) and USC (fully healthy and ranked in the top 10. This mind you, after they lost their leading rusher and their QB injured his thumb.

The BCS is a nightmare and completely useless. It's undefendable in my opinion.

I'm with coop41 on the need for a playoff. My top 20 alma mater gets a rematch with a sucky 6-6 team. Burn the BC$!

I agree about a playoff, but LSU is a good choice since their two losses were triple overtime games.

Now I need to go pick KU's coach in the Dead Pool. He's a heart attack waiting to happen.

[:0] Heart attack waiting to happen...no doubt!

they did have some quality wins though.

Here's an idea for a playoff:
