Why? Has Georgie expressed an interest?

No way we'll all fit in his mobile home, esp. with all the long boards in it.

I would love to go to a gathering in Manila. Especially if Fanciz would be in attendance. [}:)]

Seriously though ... Austin in March just might be doable. I've always wanted to go to something like SXSW and adding an NWO get together to the proceedings just might be enough to finally motivate me.

The only feasible one for me would be Chicago. Then again I might not put in an appearance there, rather choosing to remain an internet mystery!

Not to mention all of the famous musicians he has recorded with filling up most of the available space. And then there's the groupies. The Rockwood Rockettes. We'll never manage to fit.

You know, I was going to vote SF since I know that city fairly well (spent some of my childhood in the Bay Area), but then someone commented SXSW in Austin and since I live just 90 miles away from Austin, I think I'm going to have to selfishly add another write-in vote for this.

I vote Cleveland at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Although there isn't a big list of new wave bands I'm sure that they have to have something on these inductees:

Talking Heads
Blondie
Ramones
The Police
Elvis Costello
U2
REM
The Pretenders
Sex Pistols
The Clash

Plus I live an hour away so I could see me going there.....but then again, do I really want to meet youse guys? I have to think about this.....ok, I thought about it. The real question is does anyone want to meet me? Hmmmm.......I think not. I'm about as exciting as an ingrown hair. [xx(]

I was just traveling with some foreign colleagues & realized a must for any NWO get-together. Three words...NEW WAVE KARAOKE! You'll all be crushed that you missed my renditions of Bizarre Love Triangle, Town Called Malice, and Black Coffee In Bed. In my mind's eye, I was fabulous. In reality...probably not so much.

That's funny. I've always thought it would be awesome to have an NWO karaoke night. I'd be lost as to what to sing since the only two songs I can sing right are Our Lady Peace's "Clumsy" and Living Colour's "Cult Of Personality" and even Georgie wouldn't call those new wave. [:(]

Come on Max! It's time to break out of Ohio for a moment. You could use a trip to SF. We will even put you up!

How about particular chapters meet?

I live in the Salt Lake area and because I'm self employed, it makes it tough for me to do things like this, as if I don't work, I don't get paid. If I'm going to go somewhere, I'd want to make it a family vacation.

That said, if folks in the SLC vicinity want to get together and hang, that could be fun.

I have to say, however, that I'm not a good organizer, so I'd be the last one I would want to arrange for a meet.
