Madonna and not Kate Bush? Or Joan Armatrading or Lene Lovich? I mean who has benefited greatly from Madonna's influence? Britney Spears?! At least they did right this past year and inducted Patti Smith.

I'm cynical and think as soon as she is eligible, they'll induct Mariah Carey!
