I will tell you the truth, I would love to throw a huge all out bash and invite everyone. I did it a few times before when I was younger. Live bands (including mine) tons of food booze and cool people. I even had security tossing all the fire hazards.

I live in the Salt Lake area and because I'm self employed, it makes it tough for me to do things like this, as if I don't work, I don't get paid. If I'm going to go somewhere, I'd want to make it a family vacation.

That said, if folks in the SLC vicinity want to get together and hang, that could be fun.

I have to say, however, that I'm not a good organizer, so I'd be the last one I would want to arrange for a meet.

I like this idea, any Bostonians up for this? Before a show maybe.

Come on Max! It's time to break out of Ohio for a moment. You could use a trip to SF. We will even put you up!

Thanks for the invite.....Frisco huh? The furthest west I have been is Detroit (I know, I know....time to expand my horizons). If I did go to SF I would have to swing over to see Dane and Marisa.

Shout out to Dr. Sevrin, RedXRed and Scramjet: Time for another lunch at Red Rock.

As for the national chapter, I like Austin, Vegas and anywhere in Ohio.

OK, I live in San Francisco, so I'm being selfish. But, we do have some great new wave parties here and decent DJs. I'd go to LA for an event, too. Keep in mind that there is always Coachella in the spring in SoCal (Palm Springs area)...which, in my humble opinion, is better than SXSW. [;)]

The reason I picked Boston is because I live only an hour away.

First of all, Massive Festival with Giant Stages > 1200 Bands in Bars? ...I don't think so, having been to both.

Secondly, SF'ers should go to NoisePop at the end of Feb.

My air and hotel are booked for Austin and SXSW, March 12-16. I know at least one forumite will be there. Maybe a good chance for a second. Plus I know there are fairly nearby locals. If anyone needs assistance or a place to crash for a night, drop me a line.

I don't know what rotator's "told you Glok" was all about...maybe about no one likely to really walk the talk? This certainly seems to have been true for the majority of forumites with the exception of the New Yorkers and a small get-together in Vegas. SoCalers have been notable weaksucks in this department though. Is anyone gonna cowboy up for this? Everyone I've met has been invariably friendly and surprisingly normal even! [8D]
