Any Excel Gurus out there?

I need to know how to make a cell show time in minutes and seconds. If the cell total is 7.67 (7 minutes / 67 seconds) I want it to come out as 8.07. I tried various formating options but none will convert it. Any ideas?

The simplest way is to do a Find > Replace of "." with ":" for all your ending values then reformat the cells to Time > 00:00. That'll make 7.67 into 7:67 (though you may see a transitional decimal representation) and then into 8:07.

Not even! Don't tell me you're one of these old Freehand people. There could not be anything more intuitive than Illustrator...though that could be habit talking, going all the way back to Illustrator '88 days.

With each release, Quark seems to get more putrid. Not to mention they fail to fix any of the unforgivable crap thats been in place for years. Why, when I export an eps does it fail to include fonts. Why is it that every time I print, export an eps or generate a pdf do I have to relink every placed element in the file. ARGGGGG! Just thinking about it makes me ill.

Illustrator is one of the finest programs ever made. Every design I do involves Illustrator.

Blir is right about Freehand. Another piece of crap program along the lines of Corel Draw. How come when you export the simplest of gradients from freehand, it breaks it up into 250 some odd separate chunks of crap. ARRRRRGGGGGG!!!

I think I hate Illustrator because I taught it to myself ... which means that I suck!

I am going to have to break down and properly learn it and InDesign this year. (I've missed out on several pieces of work lately because I don't know InDesign well enough to do much with it). I can do just about anything I want using Photoshop and Quark, but sometimes I do have to find work-arounds, and that eats up valuable time.

I'm just a creature of habit. I've been using Quark since 1994, so it's second nature to me. I'm like a cranky old man when it comes to change. I don't like it!

That makes sense. There are a lot of online tutorials for InDesign and Illustrator. Indesign is just common sense. It works kind of like Pagemaker did but better and has quite a few Illustrator elements. Once you get into the meat of it you'll never go back to Quark [;)]

On Adobe.com if you go to the exchange community, there are quite a few tutorials as well as lots of free stuff.

Pagemaker- also known as Ragemaker back in the day. Indesign is slick, but the industry standard seems to be Quark. Que sera, sera...

I use InDesign for Yearbook at school and I love it; however, besides Pagemaker, I have no other experience to which to compare it. Very slick, very easy, and instant gratification. And I think I only know like the tip of the iceberg of InDesign.

I naver had any problems with Pagemaker. I actually used Pagemaker 7 for quite a while. Indesign has more similarities to Pagemake than Quark.
