How come I haven't heard of her until now?

I discovered Nancy recently. I've seen only two vids of here "Made in Japan" and "No No No". She makes some strange impressions while she sings.

Apparently, even though she claims to be an "80's Gay Icon", she is a biological female. She was also in Toto Coleo.
I've never heard of her, but Big in Japan is awesome! I have to have it now!!
