"Today's Music Sucks!!!!!!!!!"

Discussions about the new generations of bands influenced by '80s New Wave and Postpunk

Postby djcraig » Mon Jan 07, 2008 2:16 am

A lot of the new music sounds like it came from the 80s, which is great! I mean, how many times can you listen to "Melt With You" before you gag?

If bands like The Killers, Interpol, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, She Wants Revenge, Editors, The Sounds, The Bravery, The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, Death Cab For Cutie, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Modest Mouse appeal to you there's tons more out that are just as good if not better.

My Dad never could make the evolutionary leap and get into Elvis Presley but for the rest of us, there's hope!

Yea, commercial radio blows. For the most part, that's why I cringe a lot when I update my website.

I just reviewed my list of the Best Of 2007.
168 songs
127 different bands

Even if you dislike 95% of today's music which you have never heard[;)], if you'd like to hear some great songs let me know!
