My local public radio station is playing tracks from the new album "instead" by a band called Onetwo.

Andy Humphries from OMD, the singer from Propoganda (her name escapes me) and some involvement from Martin Gore as well, I believe.

More importantly, the tracks I've heard are really current-sounding and good!! Before I knew who was involved, I thought I was listening to some hip new trendy band.

OneTwo is great! The singer's name is Claudia Brucken. I love the track "Signals" from the first EP. I actually had the chance to see Paul Humphries live with Brucken back in 2000, I believe. This was pre-OneTwo, so the songs were all OMD and a couple of Propaganda tunes. Very good show..my only complaint was they performed "If You Leave" twice (set and encore), which seemed a little cheesy (considering how much OMD material there is). Shame he didn't play any Listening Pool songs at that show. Still, great gig.

Fantastic album that Instead. It would have been in my 2007 Top 10 if I hadn't just heard it. Lots of familiar favorite motifs but very very fresh still. Killer take on Pink Floyd's "Have a Cigar".
