B-52's To Release First Studio Album In 16 Years

Postby djcraig » Sun Jan 20, 2008 1:38 am

According to starpulse.com...

<img src="http://www.theb52s.com/gallery/fp.jpg">

The B-52's, pioneering dance-rock stars, are exploding on the scene once again with the February 26th, 2008 release of 'Funplex', the band's first studio album in 16 years and the first with the Astralwerks label.

Hmmm... what was the rush, were The Fine Young Cannibals breathing down your neck?

PS Another source claims the release date will be March 24.

I can say that I will definitely buy it.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

I'll buy it, too, without thinking twice. They look amazing - hope they sound as good.

They sure are all looking gayer than ever before... looking forward to hearing some of the songs on the radio! Will I buy? Maybe, maybe not... need to hear some songs from the CD first! I am glad they are still together and recording... that Fred sure is looking his most gay-est ever...

Here they are performing live: Rock Lobster, and Fred is hitting that cowbell... M-O-R-E cowbell, more cowbell...

I agree that I would have to hear it first...their last album was lousy, The Flintstones song was horrible and when I saw them in concert, they had no rapport with the audience and gave no encore at all.
