Nothing even remotely grabs my attention yet. Of course, with typically ~1200 bands, a list of 100 is somewhat incomplete.

Out of all those bands, the only one I'd really love to see is A Place To Bury Strangers. Seeing The Breeders would be kind of nice too.

Oh man, I'd definitely pay to see these guys. Seems it'd be a blast. Not crazy about the weasely fake hipster image they project on their page though - ditch the white jumpers! Motors, I can only imagine you'd want to beat the crap outta these guys if you saw them walking downt he street. [:o)]

Eh, not so much. I have a pretty high tolerance for people who just look stupid. It's when they ARE stupid that I think we should be allowed to hurt them. [:D]

Well you're a better than me then, 'cause I have this irrational desire to throttle them. It's much like a band I saw at the last SXSW that wore matching aquamarine tiger vests. My friend termed them Brown-Eye of the Tiger. I just wanted to beat the crap out of them for making me listen to terrible music and looking like idiots to boot! [B)]

The Laughing - You forgot in addition to their matching outfits and aquamarine tiger vests, they also sported face paint which was the kicker.

The list is uninspiring so far but many many more bands will be added after February 1st. Plus, a lot of names you don't recognize now will be the year's biggest bands.

weird as their site makes no mention of it (although they are in NYC the 11th) and I did see that Shout Out Out Out has confirmed SXSW on pitchfork.com
