Hack Attack - fixed

Postby MikeP » Tue Jan 22, 2008 7:53 am

Hey everyone,

Looks like someone wanted to make a political statement on the board by exploiting a prior vulnerability in the forum code. I've just applied a patch, but you may have to logout and log back in to gain access to all the features again due to a reset that I had to do. This appears to be unrelated to the previous hack but you never know.

Wow, that was quick, Mike. I was going to contact you about that. I saw the hack when I was on the road less than an hour ago.

I've been to Istanbul it isn't all that. I quess we stand accused of being pornographically anti Islamic. Salman Rushdie and I will have to go out for drinks and pork sandwiches to discuss this.

Yeah...most of the works of Constantine The Great have still never been released on CD.
I'll have to look for some vinyl rips on the web that I can share.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong but, Istanbul was Constantinople.
Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople, right?

I've been meaning to talk to Marie3 about her Anti-Turk posts, luckily they took care of it for us

I looked around Google for any other hacked sites - I guess quite a few have been Turked over the past year or so...including a sewing message board. Those damn stichers.

I think the only statement that was really made was: "WE ARE A LOT OF JERKS WHO HACK RANDOM MESSAGE BOARDS AND SITES AND HAVE NO PARTICULAR GOAL IN DOING SO."

Losers. <a href="http://s237.photobucket.com/albums/ff34/DreamRedux/?action=view¤t=violent-smiley-041.gif" target="_blank"><img src="http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff34/DreamRedux/violent-smiley-041.gif" border="0" alt="Machine1"></a>
