[/quote]I'm new here, but can I second this emotion? APTBS are awesome. And, since this is a New Wave/80's site, they fit in, in a way - they sound like early noisy Jesus and Mary Chain gone Shoegaze (well, sorta). That barely does them justice. I just saw them a couple of months ago in Silver Lake (LA) and they were fantastic live.

This is the beauty of SXSW, you don't even have to pay any money if you just want to drop by and troll the day shows. Early day show snippet:

"Some dayshow lineups have hit the internet grapevine a bit earlier than usual. Highlights include The Onion's annual bash at Emo's on 3/13 with The Constantines, Los Campesinos!, and Tokyo Police Club, a Done Waiting show at Creekside Lounge on 3/12 featuring Spinto Band, AA Bondy, and Division Day, a Gorilla vs Booze show on 3/12 with White Denim and Holy Fuck at The Peacock, and a huge "Mess With Texas 2" show at Waterloo Park on Saturday 3/15 with The Breeders, Islands, Simian Mobile Disco, and Human Giant. This might be the most monster line-up I've yet seen:

"The Onion, The A.V. Club, etc. take over Emo's on the 13th with music from Tapes 'N Tapes, Tokyo Police Club, Shout Out Louds, and The Stills."

And I might be saved...The Mohawk ends their Saturday afternoon showcase with British Sea Power at 5pm. [:p]
