Holy shit! I need to know what this song is, so I can play it to death!

Play the video and skip to 1:33 - to the Splatterhouse song. That's a Chopin tune, but which one is it?!

I don't know the tune but I played the hell out of Splatterhouse on my Genesis.

I remember in the first Resident Evil game you can hear this music in the distance and it's Moonlight Sonata being played on the piano. I thought it was cool they put a Depeche Mode song into the game [;)]

Take a look at this:
http://splatterhouse.classicgaming.game ... music.html

And then click on the line that reads:
"Cathedral" (MIDI) 19 KB, by Leopold McGininnis

A different link with "McGininnis" spelled differently:
http://www.laurasmidiheaven.com/All-Art ... idis.shtml

That sure sounds a whole lot like your clip [:)]

Sooooo, this McGinnis guy sequenced something by Chopin, but I can't find anything called "Cathedral" by Chopin. (But maybe Cathedral is named for a part of the game and is not the actual title to a Chopin piece?) It's a fast-moving Chopin piece--his Nocturne tunes move at a fairly quick pace. Maybe that's a starting place?

Birmadgirl, you're totally awersome for your help and in coincidental turn of events I had already downloaded the video game soundtrack from the websites you posted. The problem I'm stumbling on is what the name of the composition is. I've heard this tune a couple of times before, but I can't quite nail it down. There is a French cult movie called "Don't Deliver Us From Evil," which uses the same song as a recurring theme. A coupla years back I also posted about a sample Cabaret Voltaire used for "Do The Mussolini (Headkick)," which I wrongly attributed to Blue Oyster Cult. Now that I think back to this Splatterhouse score (based on Chopin compositions), I'm thinking it's also a Chopin song.

BALLS IT! IMMA GONNA HAFTA GET ALL OF CHOPIN'S WERKS![}:)]

Hey BMG? Cathedral was the name of a level [;)]
Great detective work by the way.
