To really accomplish this task the people of this country would have to make some choices that are not only unconstitutional, but, in the most extreme cases, inhuman.

I'm fine with that, as we all should be. It's a simple matter of survival.

So motors, I'm curious. Would you be for ensuring all citizens have proper ID and papers and allowing law enforcement to randomly stop and search anyone at anytime to insure those papers are in order?

Since imprisoning this group does nothing to stop the problem, and since recividism would be very high (as has been shown previously). Would you favor execution for repeat offenders?

Not trying to be a smartass here, just trying to get a feel for how far you would go to insure border security.

<p align="justify">The situation has to be made so unbearable for them that they'd see no better choice than to go back to their country. I'm all for stiff penalties and/or revoking business licenses for anyone who hires illegal aliens.

They're illegal invaders and the #1 threat to our future as a nation. As such, this is the real war we should be waging, not this bullshit in Iraq. I agree with XXX ... I'd round up as many as I could and ship them back on the nearest train, plane, burro, raft or El Camino and make it a living Hell for whoever remains and those who make it possible for them to remain. I'd then make it clear that there would be dire consequences should they return once deported. Would I hesitate to put a bullet in the head of any who disregard that warning and attempt illegal re-entry? Not for a second. Trust me, we could end this in a hurry if we weren't such a bunch of pussies.

Edited to add: No problems with the ID card thing. I would be happy to be stopped and checked. [8D]

Just popped into my head...

How weird is it that the "Keating Five" or the $150 billion that they helped cost the taxpayers hasn't hardly come up in this campaign? Maybe it's just chump change compared to the hundreds more billions we're flushing in Iraq.

Are we talking about illegal Mexicans? Like, illegal Mexican drug-runners? Violent illegal Mexican drug-runners? Are we? 'Cause if we are, you know, I think we want them in the country. It's the border agents who try to keep them out who are the criminals who need to be deported. Well, at least that's what George W. Bush told me.
